The Contour TRL™ Laser is an Erbium YAG laser that removes targeted skin layers at a customizable depth. This innovative laser has three different settings: the TRL Nano Laser Peel™, the TRL Micro Laser Peel™, and the TRL Deep Laser Peel™. The first two settings reach a similar depth to a chemical peel, and the TRL Deep Laser Peel™ reaches deep within the tissue for complete rejuvenation.

All of the laser modes target surface irregularities and remove dead and damaged skin cells. They also smooth and stimulate the dermis, the lower layer beneath the skin’s surface. By warming the deeper tissues, the Contour TRL™ Laser enhances collagen production for more youthful looking skin.

We can use the Contour TRL™ Laser on different areas of the face and body. Prior to your treatment, you should avoid direct sun exposure, tanning, and over-the-counter anti-inflammatories. The Contour TRL™ Laser only needs one session to work at its fullest. This is much faster than comparable treatments that can require upwards of six sessions for best results.

After your session, we will use a heavy ointment to help protect your skin. The downtime after your Contour TRL™ Laser treatment will depend on which setting is used. The TRL Nano Laser Peel™ only has a recovery time of one to two days. The TRL Deep Laser Peel™ is more involved and can take anywhere from seven days to two weeks of downtime.

You will see some swelling regardless of the depth of the laser. We recommend using a cold compress to lessen any discomfort you experience. As the skin heals, you may experience some temporary discoloration, and then the treated skin will begin to peel and flake away gently. You should clean your skin early in the healing process, as this will decrease your downtime.

While each setting is different, you will start to see the benefits of the Contour TRL™ Laser within a week after treatment. Because of the new production of collagen over time, your skin will continue to appear smoother with more even texture and fewer fine wrinkles.

We recommend using sunscreen after your treatment to prevent sun damage as you heal and prolong results. Many patients choose to have regular maintenance treatments to keep their results long-term and alter the trajectory of their skin’s aging.

Since the treatment is highly customizable, almost anyone can be a good candidate for the Contour TRL™ Laser. You may be a good candidate if you struggle with several common skin conditions, including:

• Fine lines and wrinkles
• Hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone
• Uneven skin texture and rough skin
• Sun damage and sun spots
• Enlarged pores
• Acne scarring

Ideal candidates should have fairer skin, but some darker complexions may still be a good candidate for Contour TRL.
