Laser Therapy

Lasers are a popular way to rejuvenate the surface of the skin in a non-surgical way. Most of the lasers listed below will allow for treatment in office. Downtime varies, but in general, in office laser procedures will make you feel like you’ve had a slight sun burn for 1-2 days. Any sun spots may appear darker for the first 5-7 days and then these areas will flake off to reveal improved skin tone and quality. Deeper treatments like Halo™ and Contour TRL™ will have longer downtimes (1-2 weeks) due to redness but will have more dramatic results.

Sciton BBL™ PhotoFacial

Broadband light (BBL) delivers a burst of energy by using light in the visible spectrum to target red spots, brown spots and sun damaged areas of your skin. The sensation is warm, but there is no pain. You will see improved consistency of skin tone within 5-7 days. This treatment can be repeated periodically in order to maintain youthful appearing skin.

Nail fungus is a painful and embarrassing problem. Messy creams and ointments only treat the outer skin – not the soft nail bed underneath. ClearSense™ is a laser that heats the nail bed, getting rid of the underlying fungus and giving you clearer, healthier looking nails. It works for both fingernails and toenails affected by nail fungus.

Contour™ TRL

Though there are several lasers that are used to treat conditions of the skin, Contour TRL™ has been widely regarded as the safest and most effective laser on the market today.

Contour TRL™ is a precise technology that uses an erbium based laser that can be adjusted to treat different types of tissue, depending on the treatment administered. The Contour TRL™ has the ability to smooth out wrinkles on the outside of the skin while stimulating the growth of collagen on the inside, adding firmness and resilience. Contour TRL™ works best in treating these conditions:

  • Mild to severe wrinkles.
  • Scars from acne, surgery and previous trauma.
  • Poor skin tone.
  • Skin discolorations.
  • Actinic keratosis.

Sciton® diVA™

diVA™ laser vaginal therapy is the latest innovation from one of the most trusted names in laser technology, Sciton®. diVA™ is a breakthrough vaginal therapy procedure that uses state-of-the-art Hybrid Fractional Laser Technology to gently ablate and coagulate internal and external soft vaginal tissue. This FDA approved laser treatment has been proven to correct thinning, laxity, dryness, and loss of sensation in the vaginal area. Clinical studies have also shown that diVA™ can improve mild to moderate cases of urinary stress incontinence, or USI. This means that patients who undergo diVA™ laser vaginal therapy can not only improve their vaginal health, but they can also enjoy improved self-esteem and peace of mind knowing that a sneeze or a cough and general physical activities won’t lead to embarrassing urine leaks.

The diVA™ system is the world’s first and only dual fractional laser therapy for vaginal therapy. This system combines two different laser wavelengths to independently tighten (ablate) and shrinks (coagulate) soft vaginal tissue with varying levels of density. This enables the clinician to tailor the laser therapy according to the patient’s condition and desired outcome.

Sciton Halo™

Traditional fractional lasers use either ablative waves, which require the slight removal of skin cells or non-ablative waves that do not. There are advantages and disadvantages to each type of wave, and Halo™ allows physicians to use both types during a single treatment. The Halo is similar to the Contour TRL with the exception that Halo is a fractional treatment and has less downtime than the TRL. Halo is very good for fine lines and discoloration whereas TRL is better for deeper facial lines.  The result is a more tailored procedure for each patient that provides superior results.

Sciton MicroLaser Peel™

A MicroLaser Peel™ is a targeted laser treatment therapy that removes the outermost layers of the skin. Unlike a related procedure, microdermabrasion, a MicroLaser Peel™ performs a deeper removal of the skin, going beyond the surface to treat core problems. It is an ideal step between microdermabrasion and deeper chemical peels.

ProFractional™ is a gentle, laser-guided treatment that helps remove target areas of the skin affected by age or scarring and can visibly reduce the look of fine lines, wrinkles, scars, age spots, and sun damage. Its variable treatment focuses unique depth and precision so that even deep scars and wrinkles are reduced while treating fine lines and creases with greater sensitivity and control.

ProLipo™ is an FDA approved, a minimally invasive laser-assisted procedure used for ablating and melting unwanted fat. During the procedure, laser energy is used to target and melt fatty tissue and tighten skin. ProLipo™ is best used in conjunction with other types of lipo treatments but also can be used by itself.

SkinTyte™ is a unique laser treatment that helps tighten loose skin caused by aging or pregnancy. By using infrared energy, deeper layers of the skin are remodeled and tightened without hurting the surface of the skin. It is not as dramatic as a facelift or as invasive as injections. SkinTyte™ uses a heated laser to force the body to produce more collagen while tightening and toning the skin around the treatment area.

Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is the process of using a specially targeted, concentrated laser to get rid of the hair follicles and lessen or even prevent the regrowth of hair. Dr. Aycock is a certified international trainer and speaker on the use of state-of-the-art Light and Laser Systems.

For women, target treatment areas include the bikini line, legs, face, and arms. Men tend to have laser hair removal done on their back, shoulders, or chest. The laser used in hair removal is gentle enough for nearly any kind of skin surface.

Laser Skin Resurfacing

Laser skin resurfacing is the process of using a concentrated, targeted laser to treat specific skin conditions.

Many people are surprised to learn about the dramatic results that can be achieved through laser skin resurfacing. Laser skin resurfacing can be used to correct the effects of aging and other skin imperfections, including the following:

  • Wrinkles
  • Sun damage
  • Age spots
  • Acne scars
  • Tattoo removal
  • Facial scars
  • Facial discoloration
  • Spider veins
  • Varicose veins
  • Hair removal

Vascular Laser Treatment

Vascular laser treatment helps reduce the appearance of vascular lesions, spider veins, rosacea, acne scarring, and wrinkles by targeting the affected areas with a gentle laser light. Using short pulses of intense light, energy is converted into heat, which gets rid of the targeted vessels, leaving other areas of the skin unharmed.
