Many people have busy schedules that make it more challenging to enjoy the benefits of skin treatments and laser rejuvenation. The Contour TRL MicroLaser Peel™ can help improve skin concerns with minimal downtime so you can enjoy the benefits and return to your routine.

A MicroLaser Peel™ is a light laser skin resurfacing treatment that acts similarly to a chemical peel. While it is somewhat stronger than a chemical peel, the MicroLaser Peel™ still primarily affects the top layer of the skin. 

There are several skin concerns that this treatment can address, including:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Light acne or surgical scarring
  • Uneven skin tone 
  • Sun damage 
  • Enlarged pores

The MicroLaser Peel™ is a safe, effective treatment that we can easily customize at NorCal Plastic Surgery. Based on your skin concerns, your MicroLaser Peel™ will target specific areas at a personalized depth to best rejuvenate the appearance of your skin. It is so customizable that it can be used in conjunction with other laser skin resurfacing treatments.

Before your treatment session, we will ask you to stop retinoid creams for at least three days. During the session, one of our providers will apply a topical anesthetic to ensure you remain comfortable. The anesthetic takes about thirty minutes to settle into the skin. We will also use eye protection to keep the laser from harming your eyes. 

This treatment uses the Contour TRL™ Erbium YAG laser to help clear up the appearance of different skin concerns. We will adjust the laser to your skin type and tone. Then, we will meticulously target and treat your skin concerns. 

During the session, you may feel some mild discomfort and a warm tingling sensation on the skin. The laser device will emit cooling bursts of air to lessen any feelings of heat. Depending on how large your treatment area is, the MicroLaser Peel™ may take up to forty minutes to complete. 

The laser will boost the skin’s healing process of collagen and elastin. As the skin heals from the MicroLaser Peel™, your skin concerns will start to fade, and you will notice a smoother, brighter complexion.

Downtime after a MicroLaser Peel™ is minimal. After your treatment, we will apply an ointment to help protect your skin. You may use Aquafor to help you feel more comfortable during the healing process. After the session, you will notice some swelling, skin flaking, and redness similar to a chemical peel. The healing process will take around three to four days to subside. 

Over the next few weeks, the results will reveal themselves as the new skin emerges. Your skin will look glowing and radiant as the weeks go on. These results are long-lasting, but taking care of your skin is essential to maintain them. You should either avoid direct sunlight or use good sunscreen to protect your skin. We also recommend having a regular skincare routine. 

At NorCal Plastic Surgery, we recommend having a few MicroLaser Peel™ treatments spaced out by a few months to achieve optimal results. Usually, patients schedule three visits over about six months. If you are interested in more dramatic results sooner, then you may consider a deep resurfacing treatment with the Contour TRL™.

Almost anyone can be a good candidate for the MicroLaser Peel™. The treatment is minimally invasive and can be customized to best suit the skin type of each patient. Ideal candidates should have skin conditions they want to address, such as fine lines and wrinkles, uneven skin texture, and more. Candidates should also be generally in good physical health and have realistic goals about MicroLaser Peel™.

How much MicroLaser Peel™ will cost depends on your provider’s experience, location, and the number of sessions you will have. The average cost is $1,325. This cost is influenced by how many sessions you will need. During your consultation, we will determine how much your MicroLaser Peel™ treatments will cost.
