How Much Does CoolSculpting® Cost?
Do you have areas of stubborn fat that resist all your efforts to eliminate them? Fat that does not respond to a healthy lifestyle will still respond to CoolSculpting®. This non-invasive body contouring treatment slims and sculpts your problem areas.
What is CoolSculpting®?
CoolSculpting® is a non-surgical fat removal treatment that uses cold to break up fat cells. It works because fat cells freeze before other kinds of cells. Damaging fat cells with cold, called cryolipolysis, causes no injury to the skin or other tissues. CoolSculpting® works on most areas of the body where people accumulate hard-to-remove fat.
How Much Does CoolSculpting®? Cost?
The cost of CoolSculpting® depends on several factors. When you visit for your consultation, we will discuss your cost based on:
- The size of the treatment area or areas
- The number of treatments you need
- Your treatment goals
The cost of CoolSculpting® nationwide varies by provider and location. On average, CoolSculpting® costs from $1,000 to $4,000. Not all CoolSculpting® providers in the San Francisco Bay Area offer the same skill, experience, and training as Dr. Rankin and his team. A cheaper price should never lead you to compromise on the quality of your results.
What Can CoolSculpting® Treat?
CoolSculpting® can treat many areas of the body where people struggle with stubborn fat. Popular areas for CoolSculpting® body contouring include:
- Abdomen
- Thighs
- Arms
- Under the buttocks
- Under the chin
- Back fat
- Bra fat
Specially designed applicators can provide results in large areas like the abdomen or small ones such as under the chin. We recommend a consultation if you have questions about whether your pockets of fat can be treated with CoolSculpting®.

Is There Any Downtime After CoolSculpting®?
CoolSculpting® requires no downtime. You can return to your usual activities immediately. Your skin may look red and feel sensitive for several hours. You may also notice some minor bruising or swelling. These should not limit you from your daily routine.
Am I a Good Candidate for CoolSculpting®?
Most healthy adults make good candidates for non-invasive CoolSculpting®. Body contouring works best for those close to their target weight, but many others can still benefit from treatment. You should not have CoolSculpting® while pregnant or if you have certain medical conditions that make you sensitive to cold.
